PeeloTerms of use
Peelo is distributed through the App Store and is covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The points below are the ones specific to this app.
What the app is
Peelo reports information published by others: product data from Open Food Facts, and assessments from the bodies named in the app beside each one. We do not create grades and we do not verify the underlying data ourselves.
Accuracy
Product data is contributed by volunteers and can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Manufacturers change recipes without notice. The app tells you what a label lists; the packaging in your hand is the authority.
Allergies and health
Peelo is not a medical device and gives no medical or dietary advice. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. It cannot tell you a product is safe for you: an ingredient list can be incomplete, and cross-contamination never appears in one. If you have an allergy or a medical condition, read the packaging and speak to a doctor or a registered dietitian.
Subscriptions
Peelo Pro is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, and is billed through your Apple ID. It renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings on your iPhone, under your name, then Subscriptions. There is no free trial, and the free tier does not expire.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape, resell or redistribute the data served to the app. Product data originates from Open Food Facts under the Open Database Licence; if you want the data, take it from the source, where it is free.
Liability
The app is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made using it. Where local law gives you rights that cannot be waived, those rights stand.
