Peelo has no account system and collects no personal data. This page is short because there is very little to describe.
Nothing. We do not ask for your name, your email address or any identifier. There is no sign-in, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash reporter that carries personal data.
None of this is transmitted to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is nothing on a server for us to delete on your behalf, and no account for you to close.
To look up a product, the app sends the barcode to our database, along with the list of items you have chosen to avoid so that unsuitable alternatives can be filtered out before they reach you.
That request is not stored, not logged against a person, and not linked to any identifier. We do not know who sent it. We do not build a profile from it, and we cannot reconstruct one.
If a product is missing from our database, the app asks Open Food Facts for it directly. Their privacy policy applies to that request.
Allergies and dietary restrictions are sensitive. That is exactly why your avoid list is kept on your device and never stored by us. It is sent with a lookup only so the app can filter suggestions, and it is discarded as soon as the answer is returned.
Peelo Pro is sold through Apple. Apple handles the payment and tells the app whether a subscription is active. We never see your payment details, and we receive no personal information from Apple.
Peelo is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Product names, ingredient lists, nutrition figures and packet photographs come from Open Food Facts, a collaborative database published under the Open Database Licence. Assessments come from the bodies named in the app beside each one.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Should we ever begin collecting data, we would say so here and in the app before doing it.

Peelo is not a medical device. It reports what a label lists and what public bodies have published about those ingredients. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and it gives no dietary advice of its own. For decisions about your own health, speak to a doctor or a registered dietitian.
